Cardiologist’s Kitchen is an innovation to deliver targeted dietary and lifestyle interventions for high blood pressure (hypertension).

Dr Ali Khavandi, Consultant Interventional Cardiologist at the Royal United Hospital in Bath, is the Project Lead and was awarded funding from The Health Foundation to roll out the 15 month innovation.

The project is supported by the Royal United Hospitals Bath NHS Foundation Trust and Bath and North East Somerset Clinical Commissioning Group. Our affiliates’ logos feature on the bottom of our website pages.

Read about how we won the innovation award in the Bath Echo – Link to read the article here. Our project also features in the Royal United Hospital’s media release – Link to the RUH post here.

  • Do you advise to eat low fat (as opposed to fat free) or full fat for yoghurts and milk?

    geraldine, 6th September 2017 at 7:38 pm -
    • Hi! We don’t advise you to eat low fat or fat free yoghurts or milk. This is because we find that the (heart protective) fats are often replaced with sugar. Find ‘the-complicated-history-of-fats’ and ‘the-great-diet-food-con’ in our READ pages.
